While the primary focus is on constructing the forty man roster to compete in spring training for opening day roster spots it’s also vital that minor league depth along with providing for player development is accounted for. Free agent catcher Mark Kolozsvary has signed a minor league contract with the Phillies for the 2026 season. The now 30 year old was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 7th round of the 2017 draft from the University of Florida. He’s from Taveras, Florida and graduated from Taveras High School. After initially playing in the Reds organization Kolozsvary was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on 10/14/22. He signed with the Minnesota Twins as a free agent on 6/20/
